identity crisis: solved

Last week I wrote about some problems I was having with inspiration for my blog. I was questioning what I was doing and why I was doing it. I wasn't sure what to do and where to go from there.

I have talked personally to a select few of you readers (my dear friends) and I have since discovered what the issues were and I seem to have solved whatever identity crisis I was going through.

My motivation is back -- as you can probably tell, based on me posting THREE entries today!!
I won't delve into all the details as it is something quite personal and I'm not ready to share it with the world. BUT -- I will say that I have re-evaluated my intentions and I now have my priorities in order and the right motivation.

Along with this new revelation, I have decided to re-name my blog "Lifesong." My URL stays the same (http://andrea-just-as-i-am.blogspot.com/), just the title has changed.

"Lifesong" is the title song of Casting Crown's CD that was released last year. I will share the words to this song below and you can gather from that my new motivation for my blog.

Empty hands held high
Such small sacrifice
If not joined with my life
I sing in vain tonight

May the words I say
And the things I do
Make my lifesong sing
Bring a smile to You

Let my lifesong sing to You
Let my lifesong sing to You
I want to sign Your name to the end of this day
Knowing that my heart was true
Let my lifesong sing to You

Lord, I give my life
A living sacrifice
To reach a world in need
To be Your hands and feet

So may the words I say
And the things I do
Make my lifesong sing
Bring a smile to You

Let my lifesong sing to You
Let my lifesong sing to You
I want to sign Your name to the end of this day
Knowing that my heart was true
Let my lifesong sing to you

Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Let my lifesong sing to You

Thanks for sticking with me. Thanks to those of you who have encouraged me and told me how much you missed my regular posts. Stay tuned for many, many more!!

woo hoo... she's back!

good thing that your hiatus was when I was on holidays, cause I could've gone nuts!

Your blog almost always gets a smile from me, so rest assured that you make my day many times.

WHOO-HOO!! Sheldon finally commented!!!!

(for those of you who don't know Sheldon, he is a good buddy of mine from church and he is one of my most faithful readers...looks like it took the threat of me quitting my blog to get him to step up and leave a comment).

Sheldon -- now that you've done it once, you know I'm going to expect more!! :)

Hey Andrea, another long-time reader, first-time commenter here - maybe you should threaten to quit more often! I'm glad that you're going to keep your blog going. I've enjoyed reading it and getting to know you in a different way.

Have a great weekend away!

:) you are a blessing andrea. just to warn you -- you may go through that "i-think-i-might-quit" syndrone again. (but then again maybe not)

i, on the other hand, go through it almost on a weekly basis.

it's good cuz it makes me dig deep and see if my priorities are scewed or in order.

shalomy.
