mr. dad

I'd like to take this opportunity to brag about my wonderful husband. He really is an amazing husband and father and today he proved it yet again.

Les has 2 out of 5 Fridays off since he works some weekends at his barn. On those days I go into work and he stays at home with the girls.

Some days -- like today -- he gets in these very productive moods and he susprises me with what he all gets accomplished. Here are a few of the things I'd like to highlight:

He helped make Joelle a Pre-School Count-Down Chart which is proudly being displayed on our back door.

He BBQ'd a little pig (yes -- a whole pig) on a rotissiere with stuffing inside of it for supper.

He also BAKED PIES (including the pie crusts FROM SCRATCH!)! Here is a picture of the half-eaten rhubarb pie that we enjoyed for dessert.
And here are the pe-baked pumpkin pies that are just coming out of the oven as we speak...

And before the girls went to bed, he even took the time to paint their nails (fingers and toes).

I don't think any more proof is needed that Les is pretty amazing...we just won't talk about the condition of the kitchen (and these pictures are even taken AFTER the first clean-up round).
