reason #43: why i'm tired of winter

It will be so much nicer when all we need to do when we come inside is shake off our flip-flops and find a place to put our sunglasses (yes, this is me d-r-e-a-m-i-n-g about summer...of course I'm more excited for spring, but I'm ready to take the heat at this point).

(Granted this picture is taken icluding the outer wear of the two extra kids we were babysitting today -- you know, for dramatic effect -- but still...)

I'm all about dramatic effect! I am REALLY ready for spring and summer myself. I just love the longer daylight, the warmer weather, more time outside.....my mood will hopefully improve too!

Oh my, it looks like your closet threw up!
Flip flops sound so dreamy.

Oh, isn't that the truth!

We installed a child-level strip of coat hooks, which helps a little. Sometimes.

Ughhh! Yes, all the coats, toques, mitts, scarfs, boots, wet socks when you walk through the melted snow... Love your dreams about summer, shaking off the flip-flops and finding a place for sunglasses. Ahhhh... I'm getting warm already.

Now I know that I don't have to deal with the snow---but I don't want the cooler weather to go away.
Can you imagine it being 95++ and the humidity is 60++ and it is not raining?
YUCK!!!!! It is like waling around in water!
It does give us nice skin though. :)

I'm thinking I should be feeling guilty for the 70 degree, sunny weather we've had today, but I'll get mine in August when it's 100% humidity and 105 degrees!

I totally agree, I am so sick of winter (I don't much like heat but I am ready for a change!). My front foyer looks a lot like that also. Good thing is Monday afternoon I am going to Texas for a week, so no snow /ice/slush for a few days!!!!

This is what my laundry room looks like until I yell, "no dinner until those boots are straightened and the snow clothes hung up." We even have a clothes line hanging in there for all the wet snow pants. Can't wait to put it all away, except for the flip flops and crocs. It sounds like mothers everywhere are getting Spring fever. (But our snow won't melt for another 7 weeks.)

Blech. Here here. That looks like our entry way. And we just got 12 (12) more inches of snow.

:(

Oh I SOOO hear you! I love love love winter and snow . . . but I hate hate hate the mess in my mud room . . . I guess I should be thankful I at least HAVE a mud room, to you know, store all the mud my kids drag in ;-)

I'm not ready for winter to be over yet . . . we still need our one big blizzard of the year (I'm guessing early April) . . . but I sure would like it if my kids could reach the hooks to hang up their stuff :-)
